ECONOEING® TOURS
Welcome to our famous Ord River paddle. Econoeing is the original canoe trip on the Ord River, established in 1991, and we are the only local company offering this adventure. The trademark was adopted in 2005 after we attained Eco certification, and since 2012 Econoeing is proud to still be the only Advanced Eco accredited business based in Kununurra and the East Kimberley.
We offer self-guided canoe tours down the Ord, supply all the equipment required, the safety backup from our years of experience, guidebooks with maps and photos and ‘glamping’ campsites, with composting toilets, sleeping platforms, water on tap (including showers), gas BBQ and a fireplace with wood supplied.
ABSEIL TOURS
Abseil Tours are conducted at various locations anywhere in the Kimberley, offering full instruction for novice and school groups to exhilarating drops for the thrill seekers. Adam Mackay started Wild Abseil Tours in 1997, which has grown into Go Wild Adventure Tours, and with over 30 years experience as an Abseil Leader and now Abseil Instructor, you are assured to be in safe hands.
We supply full instruction and all equipment required.
MAXWELL CAMP
Maxwell Camp is our new base and hub for Go Wild Adventure Tours, offering a campground close to Kununurra with road access (via a dirt track) and situated on Maxwell Creek and the Ord River.
The campsite features shady sites for campers, access to the new boat ramp and landing area, nature walks along the banks, below the cliffs and up to the Sunset Lookout overlooking the Ord River to the west.
Maxwell Camp is used in conjunction with Econoeing, as the 3rd nights campsite (book through Econoeing), but has other sites for personal vehicles and camper trailers as well as a designated private campsite for schools and large groups.
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
Customised programs for your group, aligned with your goals, can be developed utilising all the activities and experience that Go Wild has earnt over the last 25 years.
Youth programs to develop personal esteem and confidence, school programs to develop communication and empathy, and corporate programs to develop teamwork and leadership styles, in conjunction with Initiative games and physical activities like the designated Low Ropes course at Maxwell Camp, canoeing, bushwalking and abseil activities to maximise the experiential impact for your group.
