Seasonal Closures for Kimberley parks

Parks and Wildlife service encourage visitors to plan ahead and be aware of the following seasonal closures for Kimberley parks:

 

Closed:

🚫 Walarra Mindi (Mt Hart) 

🚫 Purnululu Visitor Centre 

🚫 Mitchell River National Park 

🚫 Bandilngan (Windjana Gorge) National Park

🚫 Dimalurru (Tunnel Creek) National Park



Closed on 1 December 2024, pending weather and road conditions:

🟠 Wunaamin Conservation Park including Dulundi (Silent Grove) campground, and Dalmanyi (Bell Gorge).

🟠 Miluwindi Conservation Park including Lennard Gorge

🟠 Purnululu National Park

🟠 Danggu (Geikie Gorge) National Park – Access to park is dependent on road conditions please refer to the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley. DBCA and Bunuba Traditional Owners are planning for visitor facilities and to recommence boat tours as soon as possible. More information will be shared after the 2024/25 wet season.

 

As the wet season commences, road access to Kimberley parks may quickly change if roads become impassible. Keep up to date with local weather reports and road closures and be prepared for your plans to change.

 

Parks will reopen in April/May 2025 pending weather and road conditions.
